The Plank is an exercise that most people have performed at least one time. And, it is one of those exercises that should be performed on a regular basis. It provides a total body workout, working muscles in the upper body, the lower body and in the core. Your body will have better alignment when planks are performed and that is just the start of the many exercises that you can do. There are many different ways that a plank can be performed. The simple version is best for beginners.
Lunges are also great at helping those who want to quickly deplete calories from their body. And, lunges help develop strong muscles that provide you with better balance and so much more. You can use just body weight to perform the lunge, and nothing else.

There are many DVDs, workout videos and CDs and more that can help you along the way. Some are free, others will cost you. But, in the end you can be sure that you have a more complete workout that accomplishes the things that you want it to do.
- Change your Diet, Too: You must exercise if you want to stay healthy but you cannot depend on it alone to do all of the things that you hope for. If you want to truly change the way that your body looks then you also need to change your eating habits. You should try to change the foods you eat to healthier options as well as watch the amounts of the foods that you are eating. There are many ways which you can curb your appetite. Tip #1: Eat More Protein
We might as well consider this to be the most important thing in a proper diet. Reason is because protein is KING above all the other macro-nutrients available. Protein is the main recovery factor for almost everything in our body including, tissues, tendons, ligaments, muscles, hair follicles, fingernails, teeth, atoms & much more. If our body is deficient in protein, we will in fact take a loss of lean body mass (LBM) and lean muscle.
So now let’s take a look at how protein can help us curbing our appetite. It is known science that protein takes longer to digest then other macro-nutrients. For this reason, this long digestion period will help you feel full a lot longer. Every meal should consist of a complete protein for a well-balance of nutrients.
Tip #2: Did You Exercise Today?
I could imagine you didn’t need to read this article to know that you should be exercising daily. The benefit daily exercise has on appetite is astonishing. Exercise consisting of both weight training and cardiovascular activities can temporarily supress your body’s hunger cravings by changing the hormone levels Ghrelin and Peptide YY.
When these hormones are released, you will have the temporary satisfaction of not feeling hungry.
Tip #3: How About A Caffeine Rush?
Caffeine is known to be as a natural appetite suppressant. Now, I’m not telling you drink drink 8 cups of coffee a day but maybe having a coffee mid-day can give you the benefit of suppressing your hunger.
If your trying to lose weight, try to limit the amount of sugar in the coffee.
Tip #4: I See Green!
Eating a meal consisting of salad could be beneficial because it is low on calories and will most likely fill you up. Vegetables of the dark-green color has amazing nutrient benefits and can significantly help you stop eating.
Eating something that will take up a lot of room in your stomach will be your key to curbing your appetite.
Tip #5: Have You Had Enough H2O Today?
Drinking lots of water, or even even fruits and vegetable containing high-volumes of water can help you stop eating. They add bulk to your meals while also stretching out your stomach, emptying the stomach slower.
If you’re feeling a slight hunger pain, maybe go and have a large glass of water and see if that helps with your appetite.
Tip #6: Are You Busy?
Keeping yourself free of boredom can have a phenominal effect on your hunger. Most people get hungry because they are bored. Whether it be at home, work or school, try to keep your self busy with any sort of activity.
Remember the general rule:
“Don’t eat if you’re not hungry”
