Check out this video: Eating Disorder Treatment: Top 8 Reasons Why You Relapse

Eating disorder treatment, in this age of empowerment and taking responsibility, is NOT OK with giving those of us with eating disorders any excuses for failing to win the recovery race.

Actually I am not a supporter of any ‘poor me’ mindsets either… but that is NOT what this video is about. THIS video is actually about giving you awareness about:

The 8 ways that your eating disorder treatment will be derailed unless you have a freedom plan in place to deal with these issues.

And the surprising part, is that these saboteurs actually are of our own making.

So get ready for some ‘ah hah’ moments, an opportunity to see where you have been fighting a losing battle, and a fresh way of seeing these obstacles, not as something to fight against, but as something to just ‘melt away’. I will show you how.

Be honest with yourself when you ‘see yourself’ in these relapse tendencies… because acknowledging the ways you are being that do not serve you, as you go through your eating disorder treatment journey, is the only way to release yourself from their perpetual existence in your life.

In love and freedom,
Shan ox

    Excellent video Shan!

    Very impressed!

And that study about the two teachers you sited, was that from Dan Ariely’s book?

    Awesome book to read.

    Keep up the brilliance!

WOW I love hearing that you liked my video. Thanks so much for you encouragement and for taking the time to watch it! (15 min of your time is a very valuable thing :) Thanks for the support my mentor :)

And i KNEW someone was going to ask me about where that study came from! I was combing over my EXTENSIVE resource library, journals, workbooks… can’t source it out!

Wasn’t Dan’s book since I haven’t read that one… after your recommendation its next on the list!

Wow thanks this is really good, I have a hard time thinking I will recover I think I will fail even when I’m in recovery it’s like I will mess up soon. I kind of want my ED back so I can be thin again but usually that backfires and I end up overeating. I am trying to stop purging but it’s hard because I’m still eating to much and I don’t have that coping method, it suxs. I want recovery but I want my ED at the same time, I don’t know who I am without you.

This was the first time I was encouraged by watching a video and didn’t feel stuck , like there was nothing I could do. i felt very connected to the part about identity. It hit home so well,. I’ve had my eating disorder for so long its like an occupation already. Thank you so much for giving us reasons to hope and try to heal. I want to watch more of your videos…
